About Us
Aikyam - in simple terms means Oneness, Unity, Harmony, Unanimity.
Imagine a company in which everyone is oriented towards a single goal, in a process-oriented way, rather than being dependent on individuals for their last-minute sacrifices and heroics.
Though these heroics do work out many times, as dedicated individuals burn the candle at both ends, wouldn’t it be wonderful to have strong processes put in place to ensure the deliverables in timely manner without burning the heroes in the process?
Aikyam has been formed with the simple goal of understand the current processes of an organization, understanding the managements perspective and expectations from their teams, and then documenting practical processes, which can be implemented and followed in a simple manner. This is followed by the typical 30-90-180 plans, which helps measure the maturity of the processes, as the teams embrace them and proceed ahead. This implementation plan also helps us to evolve the processes before baselining them.
Our Vision
A process-oriented world, which follows processes made by them and for them
Though our main aim is to focus on processes, we have realized that this goes beyond just documenting the processes for our customers. Hence, we have also diversified into providing consulting services to our customers, which range right from the initial business development to the final I and C of their services / products. This encapsulates various services like assisting them in their project management practice, setting up PMO services, building customized solutions and providing the right ways of I and C
Our Mision
Standardize what needs to be followed every day in such a way that everyone knows the process and the output in a harmonious outcome of the deliverables
We help document processes, train resources on the processes and help organization mature in their work through good adherence of the set processes. We do not want any resources to reinvent the wheels for the day-to-day tasks that they have to carry out. The success of a process is its transparency of why to do the-what to do to ensure a complete buy in from the ones who need to follow it. Our consulting services for IT and business development also emphasize the fact of having standardized ways of responding to repeating situations by having basic thumb rules set that everyone understands and can follow quickly
About the founder
Having spent more than 24 years in the IT industry, playing different roles from developer to Portfolio manager, front line consultant to head of consulting for my practice, I have realized that processes and the related documentation are extremely important for the growth of any organization. When you have processes which are standardized, based on inputs from the stakeholders who are going to follow them, with the guidance from senior management, the processes don’t become a forceful task but rather an activity which is taken up eagerly as it reflects some inputs from yourselves for the betterment of the organization.
Apart from process definitions and documentation, we would also be happy to assist you in any IT consulting – right from Business development to implementation – training your resources on what is expected and how best to deliver in the given conditions
I am keen to help managers understand the importance of business development, the way it can be handled, and how different hats need to be put when you work in business development. Understanding the importance of case studies, white papers, proper responses to proposals in a timely manner and the estimations involved for any of the proposals are key for business development. I would be guiding teams in these activities by closely help them understand the finer nuances of the soft skills that need to be incorporated into this work.
Finally, in my own ways of giving back to the society what I have learnt through my experiences, we also have some workshops for graduates of various streams who may be interested in developing IT as their career. The workshop explores the basics of what is expected in the professional IT world and how the candidates can better prepare themselves to be a part of this world quickly.
